Do You Believe I Can Do This?

All things are possible to him that can in Jesus’ name believe!

In Matt. 9, from verse 27, we read that When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, have mercy on us!” And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” And their eyes were opened.

Is your Lord and saviour not asking you that same question today? “Do you believe that I am able to do this?”

Dear pilgrim, if you will receive from the Lord, you must proclaim with all your heart saying:

All things are possible to him
That can in Jesus’ name believe;
Lord, I no more thy truth blaspheme,
Thy truth I lovingly receive;
I can, I do believe in thee;
All things are possible to me.

In Hebrews 7:25, we read that Jesus is able to save completely, to the uttermost, those who come to God through him. And the list of the things from which Jesus saves and can save is endless: He saves from sin, addictions, sicknesses and diseases, He saves from the fear of death, He saves from poverty, He saves from shame and disgrace, He saves from any impossible or confounding situation you can think of, or ever find yourself in. 

He declared in Matt. 19:26, saying: With God all things are possible and the angel Gabriel affirmed the same in Luke 1:37, saying, “With God nothing shall be impossible.”

So, Christ is asking you this morning:  “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” and, oh that you will answer without a doubt, saying, ‘Yes, Lord, I believe.’

All things are possible to him
That can in Jesus’ name believe;
Lord, I no more thy truth blaspheme,
Thy truth I lovingly receive;
I can, I do believe in thee;
All things are possible to me.

Let us pray.

Lord, please grant us grace to banish all doubts from our hearts, teach us to focus on Your power and love and not on our problems. Increase our faith oh, Lord and let us reap the amazing and miraculous rewards of faith. In Jesus name, Amen.
