Jesus Demands Our All

If you have chosen to daily live in God’s presence, here’s a reminder that there can only be one king in a kingdom, and you cannot continue to be in charge of your own life while daily living in His presence.

All to Jesus I surrender,

All to Him I freely give;

I will ever love and trust Him

In His presence daily live.

Refrain:

I surrender all, I surrender all;

All to Thee, my blessed Savior,

I surrender all

Judson W. Van De Venter.

Dear Christian pilgrim, Jesus will not take anything less than your all. You must surrender all to Him, including your reputation in the society and your standing among your colleagues. For He has said, “Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”

You must surrender all to Him, including opportunities to amass wealth ungodly and greedy ways for He warned you already:

“you cannot serve God and mammon.”

You must surrender all to Him, including all sinful pleasures and besetting sins; He warned, saying, “And if your eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell.”

You must surrender all and nothing must take priority before Him; He said: “Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.”

The problem is that Satan and the world often deceive us to think that we’re losing out when we surrender our all to Jesus. It is not so. Our Lord said, “the Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found, and hid. In his joy, he goes and sells all that he has, and buys that field.”

Who does that? Only the man who knows that the treasure of the Kingdom is far above all else.

I pray that the Lord will open your eyes to see that surrendering all to Him is not a loss, but an unquantifiable gain. In Jesus name, Amen.

All to Jesus I surrender,

All to Him I freely give;

I will ever love and trust Him

In His presence daily live.

Refrain:

I surrender all, I surrender all;

All to Thee, my blessed Savior,

I surrender all
