Today, the word under the spotlight is “Union.”
Union refers to the profound spiritual reality that believers are joined to Christ—sharing in His life, His righteousness, and His inheritance.
In simple terms, union with Christ means that everything Jesus has accomplished now belongs to those who belong to Him.
Scripture presents union with Christ as the heart of the Christian life. Jesus said, “Abide in Me, and I in you” (John 15:4). Paul declares in Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me.”This union is not symbolic or distant; it is real and living, established by the Holy Spirit through faith.
Union with Christ is the source of the believer’s joy—both now and forever. On earth, it means strength in weakness, peace in trials, and purpose in daily life. In heaven, it means perfect communion with Christ, sharing in His glory and delighting in His presence forever. Every spiritual blessing flows from this union: justification, adoption, sanctification, and glorification.
Union reminds us that Christianity is not merely following Christ from afar, but living in Him and drawing life from Him. Our hope, identity, and joy are found not in ourselves, but in our unbreakable bond with the Savior.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for uniting me to Yourself. Help me live each day in the joy, strength, and assurance that come from abiding in You, now and for eternity. Amen.
Now, let’s put this word into action. Can you make a Christian-themed sentence using union?
Here’s mine: “My deepest joy flows from my union with Christ, both now and forever.”
Now it’s your turn — share your sentence in the comments.
Thank you for listening.
