Today, the word under the spotlight is “Divine Intervention.”
Divine Intervention refers to God’s purposeful involvement in human affairs—stepping into situations to rescue, redirect, restrain, or restore. In simple terms, it means God does not remain distant; He enters our story at the right time and in the right way.
Throughout Scripture, God is revealed as a God who intervenes. In Exodus 3:7–8, He says, “I have surely seen the affliction of My people… and I have come down to deliver them.” In the New Testament, the greatest divine intervention is the incarnation itself—“When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son” (Galatians 4:4). God stepped into history to save what humanity could not save on its own.
Divine Intervention reminds us that delays are not denials and silence is not absence. God may allow situations to unfold, but He is never passive. His interventions are guided by wisdom, not panic; by purpose, not impulse. Often, we recognize His intervention only in hindsight, when we see how He redirected events for our good and His glory.
This truth gives us hope in moments of helplessness. When circumstances are beyond our control, we can trust the God who intervenes at just the right moment.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You are a God who intervenes. Help me trust Your timing, recognize Your hand at work, and rest in the assurance that You are never absent from my story. Amen.
Now, let’s put this word into action. Can you make a Christian-themed sentence using intervention?
Here’s mine: “Divine intervention turned what seemed like defeat into a doorway of grace.”
Now it’s your turn — share your sentence in the comments.
Thank you for listening. I’m Dewunmi Afolabi-Ajani for GospelBells Radio.
