In today’s episode, we confront a troubling pattern of injustice, impunity, and moral inversion in Nigeria—and reflect on them through the lens of Scripture and conscience.
We begin with the heartbreaking case of Mrs. Kalista Ifedi, who died under illegal detention after being held by the Department of State Services since 2021 without trial. Her “offence”—allegedly selling food to members of IPOB—raises profound questions about the rule of law, due process, and what it means when a state acts unlawfully in the name of an entire nation.
We then turn to Edo State, where students of Ambrose Ali University protested the unchecked kidnappings terrorising their communities—only to be arrested, arraigned, and remanded in prison. The kidnappers roam free; the protesters face prosecution. We examine the dangerous moral logic that ignores the original evil while criminalising the cry against it.
From there, we consider broader concerns:
• The silence or compromise of activist bodies
• Government responses that appear to favour bandits over victims
• The disturbing proposal to release “repentant” bandits
• And the growing suspicion of complicity rather than mere incompetence
We also revisit the crisis of medical negligence, reflecting on recent tragic deaths and the moral responsibility of both healthcare systems and individual practitioners. Negligence, we argue, is not merely a systemic failure—it is a moral one.
Finally, we end on a note of hope: a testimony that reminds us God is not bound by time, age, or human expectation. When He speaks, impossibilities give way. For those waiting, praying, and tempted to despair—this story is for you.
This episode is a call to name evil plainly, lament injustice honestly, and pray fervently for repentance, accountability, and leaders who fear God.
Thank you for listening.
Remain firmly On The Lord’s Side.
