“God Has the Final Say” — And 9 Other Faith-Inspired Responses to Life’s Challenges[RADIO SEGMENT]

  • by

Recently on MotivatedByFaith Monday @ 7AM on GospelBellsRadio.com, the FaithLists segment hosted by Olufemi Oguntokun reflected on a deeply encouraging theme: “10 Faith-Inspired Responses to Life.”

The segment explored how Christians should respond to life’s uncertainties, burdens, disappointments, fears, and trials — not merely with emotion, panic, or despair, but with declarations rooted in Scripture and faith in God.

Listeners were reminded that faith is not passive optimism; it is a confident response to life based on the character and promises of God.

Listen to the full audio of this powerful FaithLists segment above and share it with someone who needs encouragement.

1. God Will Provide

The first faith-inspired response discussed was this simple but powerful declaration: “God will provide.”

Drawing from Genesis 22, Olufemi Oguntokun reflected on Abraham’s response when Isaac asked where the sacrifice for the burnt offering would come from. Abraham answered in faith: “God Himself will provide.”

Listeners were encouraged to adopt the same posture whenever life presents financial obligations, pressing needs, or uncertain situations. The segment pointed to Philippians 4:19, Matthew 6, and Psalm 145 as reminders that God knows the needs of His people and is able to supply them.

Even after Adam and Eve sinned, God still clothed them. If God feeds the ravens and clothes humanity, how much more will He care for His children?

2. God Will Hear Us

The second response to life was: “God will hear us.”

Referencing Exodus 3, where God told Moses that He had seen the affliction of Israel and heard their cries, the segment emphasized that prayer is never wasted before God.

Whether the issue concerns family, marriage, work, the nation, or personal struggles, believers were urged to go to God in prayer with confidence. The programme highlighted 1 John 5:14–15 and 1 Peter 3:12 as assurances that God hears the prayers of the righteous.

When others ask, “Will prayer solve this problem?” faith replies: “God will hear us.”

3. God Will Lead Us

Life often presents confusing crossroads, difficult decisions, and uncertain futures. In those moments, faith says: “God will lead us.”

Drawing from Proverbs 3:5–6, the segment encouraged listeners not to lean solely on their own understanding but to trust God’s direction. If there are mountains ahead, God can level them. If there are rivers, He can part them.

The programme also referenced Jeremiah 29:11 and Proverbs 16:9 to emphasize that God guides the paths and establishes the steps of His people.

The same God who led Israel out of Egypt is still able to lead His people today.

4. God Will Comfort Us

Another powerful declaration explored was: “God will comfort us.”

The segment reflected on Jesus’ compassion whenever He encountered sorrow and grief. When He met the widow carrying her dead son to burial, He intervened. When He visited Lazarus’ grieving sisters, He wept with them.

Listeners were reminded that God is not indifferent to human suffering. He is “the God of all comfort” who comforts His people in their troubles, as described in 2 Corinthians 1:3–4.

In moments of grief, tragedy, loneliness, or emotional pain, faith responds by saying: “God will comfort us.”

5. God Will Grant Us Grace

The fifth declaration focused on divine strength in weakness: “God will grant us grace.”

Using the Apostle Paul’s “thorn in the flesh” experience, the segment explained that sometimes God does not immediately remove the burden, but instead grants sustaining grace.

Many people today struggle with physical weakness, emotional exhaustion, financial limitations, or persistent battles. Yet God’s response to Paul remains relevant: “My grace is sufficient for you.”

Faith therefore responds not with surrender to despair, but with confidence that God’s grace will sustain His people.

6. God Will Avenge Us

The programme then turned to a difficult but important theme: “God will avenge us.”

The segment addressed situations of injustice, persecution, oppression, and mistreatment. Christians were reminded that refusing revenge is not weakness; it is trust in God’s justice.

Drawing from Deuteronomy 32:35 and Romans 12, listeners were encouraged to leave vengeance to God while continuing to pursue peace where possible.

Faith does not deny injustice. It simply entrusts judgment to God.

7. God Will Fight for Us

Another declaration explored was: “God will fight for us.”

The segment reflected on David confronting Goliath while the armies of Israel trembled in fear. David’s confidence was not in weapons or military strength, but in the Lord.

Listeners were reminded that God still fights for His people and grants victory over seemingly impossible situations.

When fear rises, faith asks: “If the Lord is my light and salvation, whom shall I fear?”

8. God Has the Final Say

Perhaps the most emotional portion of the broadcast centered on the declaration: “God has the final say.”

Olufemi Oguntokun shared a personal testimony about his father’s emergency surgery in 2014 and how, in the midst of fear and uncertainty, a chaplain reminded him: “God has the final say.”

That statement became a lasting anchor of faith.

No matter how hopeless circumstances may appear, believers were encouraged to remember that God’s authority is greater than medical reports, fearful predictions, or present appearances.

Like Ezekiel standing before dry bones, faith continues to believe because God still has the final say.

9. God Is Working His Purpose Out

The ninth response to life was this reassuring truth: “God is working His purpose out.”

The segment reflected on Jacob, who once cried out that “everything is against me,” not realizing that God was already arranging preservation and deliverance through Joseph in Egypt.

Joseph himself eventually testified that what others intended for evil, God meant for good.

Listeners were encouraged not to judge their entire story by a painful season. God may still be working behind the scenes for a greater purpose.

10. God Will Enlarge Our Coast

The final declaration was: “God will enlarge our coast.”

Drawing from Psalm 107, the segment described God as the One who turns wilderness into pools of water and dry ground into springs.

God establishes the hungry, blesses them, multiplies them, and transforms barren places into fruitful ones.

The programme concluded with Psalm 107:43 — a reminder that whoever observes these things will understand the lovingkindness of the Lord.
