(This article has now been updated to include the episode from November 1, 2025, the 4th and final part of the series on “Believers, Economics, and Finances).
Bro. Seun Oyedele began a series on Believers and Finances on August 2, 2025, and continued the series in September, October, and November.
As always, Bro. Seun Oyedele left our community with memorable lines including:
“If you buy things you don’t need, soon you will have to sell things you need.”
“Save before you spend—do not spend before you save.”
“One out of every ten you earn is yours to keep.”
“No farmer eats his seed. 90% is your harvest to eat; 10% is your seed to plant.”
“If you fail to plan, you plan to fail—and nobody actually sits down to plan to fail.”
“Do not let your savings lie idle.”
“Do not test how deep a river is with both feet.”
Here are the memorable lines from the October edition:
- “Faith is a spiritual substance that is needed to accommodate the dealings of God. The dealings of God sometimes can be so hard.”
- “A man of faith does not wait for details. God only gives news in brief—He just gives you the headline, and He’s trusting you to take that headline and run with it.”
- “The last miracle you received is connected to the last instruction you obeyed. Miracles are the crystallization of instruction and obedience.”
- “Faith is a weapon of war. This is the victory that overcomes the world, even our faith.”
- “Faith works by love. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.”
- “The root of true faith is in God, not self. Faith is Godfidence, not self-fidence.”
- “Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Anything you do in flesh is detestable and unacceptable to God.”
