No promise in Scripture is meant for only one person. Whatever God has spoken to a single saint, He has spoken to all His people. When He opens a well for one, it is so that all may drink. When He opens the granary to feed one starving soul, every hungry believer may come and eat as well. Whether the word was given to Abraham or to Moses makes no difference, believer—it is given to you as part of the covenant family.
There is no blessing too high for you, no mercy too wide for you. Lift your eyes to the north, south, east, and west—for all of it is yours. Climb to the top of Pisgah and look across the full expanse of God’s promises—the land is yours. Every stream of living water is yours to drink. If the land flows with milk and honey, then eat the honey and drink the milk, for both belong to you. Be bold in your faith, for He has said: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
In this promise, God gives His people everything. “I will never leave you.” That means no attribute of God will ever fail to be engaged on your behalf. Is He mighty? He will show His strength for those who trust Him. Is He love? Then His mercy and kindness will surround you. Whatever makes up the character of God, every part of it is fully committed to you.
To put it simply: there is nothing you could ever need, nothing you could ever ask for, nothing required in time or eternity, nothing in life or in death, nothing in this world or the next, nothing now or at the resurrection morning, nothing in heaven itself that is not contained in this promise: “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
