Dear Christian pilgrim, if you truly believed that God would take care of you whatever betide, what would you do? Would you brighten up and be of good cheer, notwithstanding that things are still tough? Would you say: “For this reason, even though I suffer as I do, I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.”
You see, the case of the unbeliever is pathetic, but logical: He doesn’t believe! So, there no basis for engagement. But the case of the believer who believes, but doesn’t truly believe is worse. That believer hears God saying: “I will never leave you, neither will I forsake you.” He doesn’t dispute that it is the word of God, but hearing it makes no difference; he continues to be dismayed and forlorn and sad and dejected.
That believer hears the Lord say: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.” She believes it, but not enough to stand up and take bold steps of faith.
Don’t be that type of believer. Hear the Holy Spirit reminding you today to truly believe that God will take care of you:
Be not dismayed whate’er betide,
God will take care of you;
Beneath his wings of love abide,
God will take care of you.

Do you truly believe that He will take care of you whatever be the case? If your answer is “Yes, I believe,” then, please let it show: Be of good cheer and smile, He has overcome the world.
Do you truly believe that He will take care of you whatever be the case? Then worry not about tomorrow: He will supply your needs according to His riches in glory.
Do you truly believe that He will take care of you whatever be the case? The, boldly identify with him, telling the world that He alone is your plan A to Z since you know that “Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.”
Do you truly believe that He will take care of you? Then, don’t let present circumstances discourage you or make you ashamed of your faith in Jesus Christ. Rather, like the apostle, say, “even though I suffer as I do, I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day.”
